-quoted two time frames for arrival, movers were very late no matter what causing us to move things in the rain (exactly what i had planned to avoid when talking with customer service over the phone the day before!) -when we went over paperwork, the office had incorrectly written down that i was going to be a partial move. never did i use those words, mention a roommate, or another scenario that would call for a partial move description. Because of this, i was quoted FAR less than what my final bill totaled. I would have gone with a cheaper company if I had known this but because i had no other choice the day the movers showed up, i was forced to the higher bill. I mean, it was the day of moving and how else was i suppose to know the quote i was given was completely wrong. -my apartment building doesn't have a parking lot and therefore the truck had to park on the street. However, there were not spaces available other than the entrance drive way. The truck could have gone to the back of the building but the driver refused and said it was too difficult. Therefore, they kept my things over night causing me to take off work and stress that the next morning they may not be able to park on the street yet again. Your a moving company, you should know where you are going and what needs to happen to make the move successful. THAT IS WHY A MOVING COMPANY IS HIRED! The driver then proceeded to tell us that it is our responsibility to figure out where the truck will go. Again, you're the moving company...THAT IS LITERALLY IN YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION. His solution was that we go to the police department and get a permit to put on the street so cars can't park there the next morning. Well, that's all fine and I could have done that a week prior if you, THE MOVING COMPANY, made it clear that is a requirement. Regardless, it takes two days to get that sort of permit approved as the signs have to be posted for at least 24 hours. (This is something you should note next time you advise someone to solve your problem for you). Even the police officer working at the desk when i attempted to get a hold of such permits said moving companies typically know where they are going and what needs to happen before they arrive to avoid this situation. I mean, people move when street parking is the only access ALL THE TIME. Can you imagine doing your job in New York, Boston, Chicago? -we compromise (because I had no other choice) and the driver said he would be there the next morning at 7am so I didn't have to take too much time off work (very nice of him to agree to coming early). Except, the truck shows up at 8:30am and doesn't start moving things in until 9am! So again, on day two, they are late causing another inconvenience that I get to pay for. Let me remind you, people hire a moving company with the expectation that they will not have to move things themselves and therefore find convenience. -Once everything was finally unloaded, I found that lightweight boxes had been placed under heavy boxes causing the cardboard to collapse. In addition, plastic bins that were packed now need new lids because of the many cracks in the ones I had. -only positive I have to say is that the lead mover/driver was efficient in actually moving things into and out of the apartments. (even though this caused for damage, at least my bill didn't suffer because they were moving slowly). Although, I do remember one of the guys moving really slowly and only making a few trips upstairs on day two. -also would like to note that on both days, i had to call to figure out where the truck was and was told i would receive a call back from a manager very soon. i NEVER received a call back and was left hanging without a clue on when my move was happening.

Everything went fine...except my sister found my father's ring out in the middle of the driveway this morning when she pulled in!! This could have been VERY UPSETTING, had it been picked up by a passer-by.....OR if she hadn't seen it in time & perhaps accidentally run over it! Just some food for thoughtfor the next customer. Some things cannot be replaced at ANY price!!

Setup up of move was great, person who contacted me was very pleasant and professional! Dispatch was fine! The actual movers were my issue! I had 3 guys! 2 of them were very professional & pleasant. The guy that seem to be in charge and took my money was not! He talked down to the other two & didn't take care with my furniture. We ended up with an entertainment center with nicked up legs and a coffee table that was scratched up on one side! Entertainment center I can get a stain stick & doctor up but the coffee table will end up being replaced! They said they wanted us to sign a waiver on removing china hutch but then said they could remove it! It got up there so it must be able to come down and if we signed waiver it wouldn't have mattered! Now I have to hire someone else to come get it out! I was at the address things were moved to so I wasn't there for all that but my son in-law got frustrated & some 15 boxes & a 6 foot divider screen were not taken! I paid $650 dollars & now will have to pay more to get someone else to finish! They also did not put the bed together they took apart! Seems by that time they got to us they were already hot & tired so they were rushing to finish up with us! I can not remember the young man's name, I think it was Nick, but he took care, was a hustler and was professional!

I was told that the move would be on 7/25 between 12-4 and they may come a little early or a little late. I moved my dog in the morning so he would be out of the way and was back in centerville at 11:00 AM. I waited and waited and at 4:00 I called for an update from dispatch and was told he could not give me a time and was not even sure if it would happen that day!!!! So I waited till 5:00 and still heard nothing from them so I called back they did not even answer the phone!!! I called the main number and the girl apologized and asked me to hold. They would not even answer for her! I explained I had my dog in one place and I was in the other with all my things. Finally dispatch called and Sid basically I was not going to get moved on Saturday and they would be there first thing between 8:30 and 10:00 I did look now I have to sleep on the floor where my dog is and then come back up here I need a solid time.... He said they would call when they left the shop. So I wasted literally wasted 7:00 hours of my Saturday waiting with no one calling me once to explain what was going on from dispatch!!! The movers them selves were awesome and did a great job as did the girl at the main office. As for dispatch and never calling horible customer service. Some sort of discount or refund for my wasted time but I doubt that will happen and that is ok. I learnd I like having movers .... Once they show up...so I will use movers again in the future....and just to be clear it is dispatch ONLY that did a horible job very disappointed with the customer service from that group

We chose All My Sons because of Jarla, the sales agent who came to our home to do the estimate. She was forthcoming and helpful, and due to our location, we liked the idea of two smaller trucks rather than one giant truck. The move went fine, no big issues. The weight ended up higher than expected, but as promised, the original estimate was what we paid, no questions asked. The issue we had was when it came to tip. We asked the head mover how much someone normally tips, and he said, "I've never received less than $125 per person." That seemed high to us, so we researched a bit and found that we were right. We even called Jarla to get her opinion, and she said, "$25 a person would be fine - you don't even have to tip them." The head mover reminded us quite a bit about tipping throughout the move. We did end up giving them what we thought was a decent tip since they were unloading until 9pm. But, the attitude towards tipping made us uncomfortable. The other movers were great - only the head mover made comments about tipping.

Very nice, quick moving guys. Was happy that they sent a 3rd guy at no additional charge. However, when I signed up for the service, I was told by the customer service rep that my furniture and delicate items (mirror, TV) would be wrapped and padded. Additionally, I specifically asked one of the movers to wrap my TV and from what I could tell, this was not done, as I saw my TV standing flat in the truck with no protection. I'm not sure if these items were padded when they were placed inside the truck, or not at all. I would've appreciated these items being wrapped and padded so that they would be protected while the movers were carrying them out of my old house into my new apartment. My TV and mirrors survived the commute okay, but my dresser and table were scratched. Additionally, the base of my lamp was cracked. I wasn't too bothered by this because these items were old. However, I would've appreciated a bit more care when the movers were moving the items.

We were pleased overall with the move, although communication could have been better. Our driver had a personal issue the morning of our loading the truck day and was 1.5 hours late. No one let us know, and we had to call someone to find out what was going on and it caused us much worry and made us late to the house closing. Also, we were told that the drivers would be able to drop off 4 pieces of furniture at a different location 2 miles away from the original. When it came time, we were told that it would be $1000 (!!!!) to deliver these 4 items 2 miles away. This was a ridiculous number. If they couldn't do this, we shouldn't have been told that they would initially.

Due to a delay in the earlier client, my move was 4.5 hours later than scheduled so the move was not completed until 9:30 pm. The movers were very fatigued. Two of the three movers kept a fairly good pace moving my goods. The third could not have moved any slower. Several items were not placed where I had directed so I'm left to move some heavy boxes up or down stairs or outside to the garage. It wasn't the worst move ever but it was by far not my best experience.

The actual move went fine. It started four hours late and a 2 man crew showed up instead of a 3 man crew. Would have appreciated more communication on the changes. One of the crew members was great (Jamal). Crew leader (Phil) was very strange - overly flirtatious and sweetie/honey'ed me the whole move. Also "confided" that he was the only employee at the whole company without a criminal record. Um, thanks? But again, the moving part was good!

When I booked AMS in April, 2015, I was told my goods would be transported on 2, 27' AMS trucks with the overhang over the cab and would be provided at least 3 people. On May 4th, I contacted AMS to confirm our move for the week of June 22 (then narrowed it and confirmed to June 24 two weeks before). On Monday, June 22, I called AMS to confirm the move for Wednesday morning. I spoke with Ethan who asked if it would be ok if he sent two trucks on Wednesday to load, delivering one of them on Friday, June 26 and the other one on Sunday, June 28 (at no charge since they were extremely short handed)...I agreed. I told him they had to be at my house as early as possible since I needed to be out by 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. He assured me they would be there by 8:30 a.m., no problem. At 9:15 a.m. on the 24th, I called Ethan and asked where the crew was? He said they were running late. They arrived at 10:30 a.m. The driver was unaware they had a time constriction. Not only did they arrive late, they brought a smaller truck without the extention over the cab. An additional truck with 1 driver arrived at 1:00 (same size, smaller truck). At 4pm they called their supervisor (Jason) and informed him they would not be able to get all of our goods on the smaller vechiles..he brought out a small cargo van. Jason assured us we would have all of our items on Friday due to our inconvenience. After a VERY STRESSFUL day, we made our deadline with 20 minutes to spare. On Friday, we called Ethan to see what time they would arrive. He said they had to unload our merchandise from the 2.25 vechiles due to them being overweight and would bring both of them but with limited merchandise and the remaining on Sunday (he totally ignored what Jason told us). He said drivers were just leaving (at 10:00 a.m.). At 2:00, no driver. Called Ethan again who acted surprised they were not here, the driver called us and said running late around 4:00...showed up at 5:30 p.m. I phoned Ethan and told him we should NOT be responsible for any additional payment . He assured me we would be compensated. We made arrangements with the owner of this home to allow us in early since our mechandise was coming from Cincinnati along with having family members ready to help...which we all stood around WAITING). Our final truck showed up on Sunday at 1:30 with 2 people. I spoke with Jason (supervisor) about conversation with Ethan regarding no additional payment, he only reduced the fee by $600 (which of course we had to pay because we wanted our merchandise). Yes, it was compensation, but not nearly justifiable. We are now filing with Amy from your Customer Care department on damage to a new leather chair, solid wood cabinet and tables, ripped upholstery (among other items) (thank goodness I purchased mattress covers for all of our mattresses/box springs, THEY WERE FILTHY and most were ripped). It's hard enough on furniture and goods to be moved from a house to a truck and into a house let alone shuffled between other vehicles where ever they do their shuffling! This being our 6th contracted move is by far, the WORST, UNORGANIZED and DISAPPOINTING of all. move date scheduled and discussed with Ethan- no one came to look at the job prior to move date even though we mentioned it to Ethan - he said it was not necessary. Crew showed up 5 hours late and told us that the truck was not big enough. I called Ethan and was told that there was not another truck available but they could possibly move us 3 days later. I was very upset because Ethan was aware that we had sold our home and had to be out that day. He was not helpful at all. After much back and forth, we (my husband and myself) had to rent a U-Haul in addition to the small truck your company sent and drive our furnishings from Cincinnati to Nashville Tn. That meant the my husband had to drive the rented U-Haul with his car towed behind it and I had to drive our RV with my vehicle towed behind. Because the drivers were 5 hours late, the trucks were not loaded until after 10 PM we were forced to spend the night in a rest area. The original agreement with All My Sons was for the movers to deliver the next day but they did not deliver until the day after that so we wasted an entire day in our empty residence. We feel like your company basically held us hostage because we had no option but to take was being offered to us which was not what agreed to. We believe we were taken advantage of in the worst way! I am so very thankful the for the three young strong guys, Nick, Chris and Ike. They worked so very hard and it was so hot that day. They did what I asked them and got as much in their truck as they could. They unloaded and were understanding of the situation and stress I was under with this move and my husband just getting home from surgery. They had to move a heavy elliptical in and out a couple of times. They were great to try to make it fit and when it didn't they put it back out in the garage for me. They were careful with my stuff and that was so greatly appreciated.
